Bump, Set, and Spike Volleyball - Bump, Set, and Spike Volleyball
Bump, set, spike volleyball is a low-pressure way to help our students learn and develop their volleyball skills. This session will include instruction on the six fundamentals of volleyball: passing, setting, spiking, serving, digging, and blocking. Players will also participate in a variety of learning activities and fun skill-building challenges and games. Players are welcome to bring their own volleyball if they would like, but it is not required. This program is open to both boys and girls. Come and play like a champion!

Learn to Play Pickleball - Learn to Play Pickleball, Spring '25
Have you been wanting to try pickleball but don’t feel comfortable just showing up during an open play session? Not sure how to swing a paddle, where to stand on the court or how to keep score? Well, here’s your chance to learn the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in the country! Come join us with instructor Kevin Martin, who is a USAPA Certified Coach and member of the Professional Pickleball Registry. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, racquetball, and ping-pong played by four people on a half size tennis court with paddles and a plastic polyball. Each class includes learning a new stroke, hitting drills, game play, and strategy. It’s great exercise and easy to learn! Equipment will be provided.

Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10am. Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars. At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. We are very excited for this new program and look forward to another fabulous summer! SPECIAL DAYS:Field Trips: Transportation is provided. This program takes two off-site field trips per week, with the exception of the shortened July 4th week (one field trip that week). Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!

Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!

Junior Stars - Week 1: Superhero Week (June 24 - June 27)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10am. Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars. At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. Teen Adventures - Teen Adventures, Session 1, Summer '25
*Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th at 10am*Welcome to Teen Adventures!Teen Adventures is a Monday-Friday summer program for teens entering grades 7-9. Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!

Junior Stars - Week 1: Superhero Week (June 24 - June 27)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10am. Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars. At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. We are very excited for this new program and look forward to another fabulous summer! SPECIAL DAYS:Field Trips: Transportation is provided. This program takes two off-site field trips per week, with the exception of the shortened July 4th week (one field trip that week). Junior Stars - Week 2: Holiday Week (June 30 - July 3)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10am. Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars. At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. We are very excited for this new program and look forward to another fabulous summer! SPECIAL DAYS:Field Trips: Transportation is provided. This program takes two off-site field trips per week, with the exception of the shortened July 4th week (one field trip that week). Mini Stars - Mini Stars: Session 1 (3 Day)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025.We are excited to bring back our popular preschool summer program: Mini Stars! Our qualified director will lead this group of little ones in arts and crafts, games, water play and circle time in a way that will enhance social skills, allow children to work on decision making, fine and gross motor skills, following directions and engaging with a peer group. Teen Adventures - Teen Adventures, Session 2, Summer '25
*Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th at 10am*Welcome to Teen Adventures!Teen Adventures is a Monday-Friday summer program for teens entering grades 7-9. Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!
- All trips are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances- This program is generally from 9am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, but some days have extended hours due to longer field trips. Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!

Mini Stars - Mini Stars: Session 1 (3 Day)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025.We are excited to bring back our popular preschool summer program: Mini Stars! Our qualified director will lead this group of little ones in arts and crafts, games, water play and circle time in a way that will enhance social skills, allow children to work on decision making, fine and gross motor skills, following directions and engaging with a peer group. NOTES:-Options are for a 2 or 3 day spot, sessions are in 2 week blocks.-This program is based out of the Billerica Recreation Department (248 Boston Rd), but the first Thursday/Friday of every session we will meet at the Manning State Park Picnic Pavilion (39 Chelmsford Rd)! Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!

Mini Stars - Mini Stars: Session 1 (2 Day)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025.We are excited to bring back our popular preschool summer program: Mini Stars! Our qualified director will lead this group of little ones in arts and crafts, games, water play and circle time in a way that will enhance social skills, allow children to work on decision making, fine and gross motor skills, following directions and engaging with a peer group. NOTES:-Options are for a 2 or 3 day spot, sessions are in 2 week blocks.-This program is based out of the Billerica Recreation Department (248 Boston Rd), but the first Thursday/Friday of every session we will meet at the Manning State Park Picnic Pavilion (39 Chelmsford Rd)! Wear your bathing suit to the program on these special days, as we will be setting aside time to use the splash pad! -We also encourage you to pack bug spray!-Each child should bring a nut-free snack and lunch, and water bottle daily. -Children must be potty trained.*No program Monday, June 23rd or Friday, July 4th.Payment FlexibilityTo assist financially, families have the option to pay a 50% (or higher) deposit at the time of their registration. Teen Adventures - Teen Adventures, Session 2, Summer '25
*Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th at 10am*Welcome to Teen Adventures!Teen Adventures is a Monday-Friday summer program for teens entering grades 7-9. Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!
- All trips are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances- This program is generally from 9am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, but some days have extended hours due to longer field trips. Junior Stars - Week 3: Under the Sea Week (July 7 - July 11)
Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 10am. Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars. At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. We are very excited for this new program and look forward to another fabulous summer! SPECIAL DAYS:Field Trips: Transportation is provided. This program takes two off-site field trips per week, with the exception of the shortened July 4th week (one field trip that week). Neighborhood Parks - Dutile Neighborhood Park
REGISTRATION FOR THIS PROGRAM BEGINS ON *WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26th*Come spend the day with us at a local playground! Park instructors provide supervised sports, arts and crafts, music, games, and special events. These programs are designed for children entering grades 1-6.DUTILE: Full day optionThis traditional full day program sells out quickly, so be sure to register early! Participants that spend their summer with us gain friendships and make life long memories. Participants will spend their time doing their favorite summer activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games and can look forward to special guests and fun surprises!DITSON: Full day optionThis traditional full day program sells out quickly, so be sure to register early! Thanks to our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, our participants will be able to use their ropes course and pool on a weekly basis along with the fun we have planned for the program! Please note that due to the location of this program and inability to secure an indoor location, this program may experience rain outs in the event of bad weather.Additional information, including the 2025 parent letter and daily schedules, will be available closer to the start of the program. *No program June 23rd and July 4thPayment FlexibilityTo assist financially, families have the option to pay a 50% (or higher) deposit at the time of their registration. To do so, during the payment checkout process, please enter the amount you are able to put down that day. Payment must be made in full by June 6th in order to stay registered for this program. It is the families responsibility to log in to their account to make payments when they are able to do so, before the June 6th deadline. *Please note, most summer camps require a two week notice to guarantee a full refund*Inclusion SupportIf your child has diverse abilities, and you think your child would benefit from receiving support in this program from an inclusion specialist, please register for inclusion support, filling out all forms in as much detail as possible. Please note, this registration is not a separate program, but it is your way of asking our department for support services. We will do our best to support as many children as possible on a first come first serve basis. Teen Adventures - Teen Adventures, Session 3, Summer '25
*Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 26th at 10am*Welcome to Teen Adventures!Teen Adventures is a Monday-Friday summer program for teens entering grades 7-9. Fridays are a half day; the program will run from 9:00am - 12:30pm on Fridays.This fun and exciting weekly journey is set up for teens to build memories through amazing experiences, including 3 field trips a week! These experiences include a wide selection of field trips that would appeal to all types of teens. We hope to build their critical thinking, social & emotional enrichment all while developing independence. We mix up outdoor adventures like beach trips with big attractions like Canobie Lake Park, Boda Borg, Apex, and much much more! While at the park, participants will engage in field games, arts and crafts, and pool time (thanks to our partnership with the Billerica Boys and Girls Club), and so much more!
- All trips are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances- This program is generally from 9am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday, but some days have extended hours due to longer field trips. Please make note of these days.- Please refer to the parent guide for detailed information about each trip, including waivers. Adult Pick-Up Soccer - Co-Ed - Mondays Summer 2025
A great opportunity to play friendly games of soccer with other adults! This program is intended for fun play, exercise, and socialization with friends. Teams will be formed each week and players will be given pinnies. Come run around on Mondays and Fridays at PHR! All playing levels are welcome!
