Leisure Adventure Club includes social activities and community outings for older teens and adults. This program is designed specifically to accommodate those with cognitive and developmental impairments. Programs are led by qualified Billerica Recreation staff members. Staff to participant ratio will not exceed 1:6.
An intake assessment and conversation with our TR Coordinator is required prior to initial participation.

Museum of Illusions, $52
Sunday 3/8/26 8:30am-12:30pm
Billerica Recreation staff will lead us through a tour of the Museum of Illusions in Boston. We will view the exhibits, play the dilemma game, and solve some puzzles. You may bring money for the gift shop should you choose.

Axe Throwing, $56
Wednesday 3/18/26 5:00pm-8:45pm
Let’s head to Wicked Axe in Haverhill for an evening of axe throwing! Please eat prior to this trip. You may bring your own money to purchase a (non-alcoholic) beverage if you would like to. Our axe coach will provide us with instruction on how to throw and then we will have some friendly competition. Closed toed shoes and a completed waiver will be required for this trip.
Spring Paint Night, $25
Tuesday 3/31/26 6:00pm-8:00pm
Join us at the Recreation Department for a paint night with friends. We will paint by number to create a floral themed painting.
Cosmic Bowling, $47
Friday 4/10/26 5:00pm- 9:00pm
We are heading to Metro Bowl in Peabody for an evening of Cosmic (Glow-in-the-Dark) Bowling. If you have your own bowling shoes & candlepin balls, you are welcome to bring them with you. If not, balls will be provided and you may rent bowling shoes by bringing $4 with you. Snacks and (non-alcoholic) beverages are available for purchase should you wish to do so.

Cut loose and kick off your Sunday shoes! Based on the electrifying 80’s movie, Footloose is showing at the Palace Theater in Manchester. Get ready for a show filled with great music and dancing!
Hiking Great Brook Farm, $20
Saturday 5/30/26 12:30pm-3:00pm
Our Billerica Recreation Staff will lead us on a fun and easy hike through Great Brook Farm in Carlisle. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and expect to do a bit of walking.
Summer 2026 LAC Programs will be available for viewing on our website on 4/15, with registration happening on 4/22 at 10:00am.
