Yin Yoga - Yin Yoga, Fall '24
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that involves long holds in various seated and reclined poses to access deeper layers of fascia and a quieting of the mind . The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. The Yin practice is full of hip openers, spinal twists, heart openers, upper back and shoulder stretches. During each class we will focus on 5 - 6 poses and then surrender into a guided mindful meditation.All levels no experience needed.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Carolisa of Moonlight Dj’s Carolisa has over 20 years experience as a professional dance teacher and DJ, working with kids to adults; running classes & workshops at dance studios, community venues, for seniors, company wellness, school enrichment programs; at private events & parties, and for women’s “night out”. She teaches Zumba, Bellydance, Line Dance, Move & Groove (kids) and also runs Family Fun Dance and “1 Fun Night” Workshops. Carolisa has experience DJ’ing theme & retro parties, reunions, family celebrations and kids’ parties. She especially enjoys motivating and inspiring others of any age, fitness level or ability through music and dance, increasing confidence in a fun & friendly class!

Foxwoods Day Trip - Foxwoods Casino Trip
Spend the afternoon at Foxwoods Casino! Bus will depart from the Billerica Recreation Department (248 Boston Rd.) at 10 am on Saturday, November 23rd. It will drop off at Foxwoods where you will be on your own to enjoy the sights and sounds at the casino! At 6:30 pm the bus will depart Foxwoods and return to the Recreation Center at 8 pm.If the program fills we encourage you to sign up for the wait list as we can reserve a bigger bus if the wait list has enough people on it!Fee includes transportation only.

Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. This program is designed specifically to accommodate those with cognitive and developmental impairments. Programs are led by qualified Billerica Recreation staff members. Spend the day adventuring on your own, and then catch the bus back to Billerica at 6:30pm.
