Cancellation Policy


If a participant chooses to cancel from a program, they must email us (recinfo@town.billerica.ma.us) at least 48hrs before the program begins to receive a full refund, minus a $5 cancellation fee. Within the 48hr window of a program beginning, we cannot guarantee any refunds.  
Exceptions: 
  1. If a participant has a medical condition which prohibits further participation, they can email us a copy of their medical note excusing their participation for a prorated refund, minus a $5 cancellation fee.
  2. If a program has a different cancellation timeframe posted online, and on the participants' receipt, that cancellation window applies. 
All refunds will automatically be processed as account credits unless a check refund is specifically requested. Please note that check refunds can take up to three weeks to arrive. 


Billerica Recreation reserves the right to cancel programs which do not reach the minimum enrollment number, or for any other unforeseen circumstances. Decisions will be made 48 hours before the start of the program. Weather cancellations will be announced by e-mail, on our website (www.BillericaRec.com) and on Facebook (@BillericaRec). Every effort will be made to make up cancelled programs. If a make up is not possible, participants will receive a Household Credit in the amount equal to the cost paid for the program. For programs $75 or above, the participant will have the option of receiving a refund check in lieu of a Household Credit.
