10:30 AM - 11:30 AM    Little Big Leaguers - Little Big Leaguers
Come join the Sports Zone 101 coaches as we teach the basic skills and movements needed to play baseball. This is a great program to help prepare your child for their upcoming T-Ball season! We will instruct all kids on how to hold the bat correctly, hit the ball off a tee, field a ball, throw a ball, and learn how to become an awesome team mate! We will spend time getting to know each other, learn more about the way our bodies move, and explore new ways to stay active and have fun doing it! We will help develop your child’s sensory and gross motor skills in our exciting Little Big Leaguer program!

Does your child love to run, jump, climb and tumble? Then this "play" on American Ninja Warrior is the perfect class. Each week your child will participate in stretching, elements, obstacles and games to help gross motor skills, fitness and fun. From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, climbing structures and tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!This program will be held outdoors on the Recreation Department Lawn, and will be moved indoors if there is inclement weather.
 
11:00 AM - 11:50 AM    Micro Athletics - Micro Athletics
Knucklebones’ Micro Athletics is the perfect blend of fundamentals and fun, mixing sports (soccer, basketball, Tball) and creative games (obstacle course, parachute, Messy Backyard). Class is supported by an array of unique and colorful equipment; from RhinoSkin balls to climbing structures, balance beams to mini basketball hoops, we're sure to enhance your child’s passion for play while learning new skills.Location:Spring/Summer/Fall: This program will be held outdoors, on the Recreation Department Lawn. If the weather is bad, the program will move inside the Recreation Department. Winter Season: This program will be held indoors.

12:30 PM - 2:30 PM    Leisure Adventure Club - Spring Cookout, Spring '24
Leisure Adventure Club includes social activities and community outings for older teens and adults. This program is designed specifically to accommodate those with cognitive and developmental impairments. Programs are led by qualified Billerica Recreation staff members. Staff to participant ratio will not exceed 1:6.An intake assessment and conversation with our TR Coordinator is required prior to initial participation.Spring 2024 Outings: Registration begins March 13th at 10:00AM!Spring Cookout at the Rec, $20Saturday 4/27/24 12:30-2:30Spring has sprung! Meet us at the Recreation Department for a cookout and outdoor games with friends. A cookout lunch will be provided. Mosaic Birdhouses at Periwinkle Art, $35Sunday 5/5/24 1:00-3:45Periwinkle Art Studio in Groton is hosting us for a Mosaic Birdhouse Class. Each participant will get to make and take their creation.Manning State Park Hike, $15Saturday 5/18/24 12:45-2:15Join outdoor enthusiast and founder of Hike Beautiful Billerica, Marlies Henderson, as she guides us on a nature tour through Manning State Park. Have you ever seen Lady Slipper orchids? Marlies will help you pick out these as well as other elements of nature available right here in our own town! Transportation to/from Manning State Park will be provided from the Recreation Department. Summer 2024 Outings: Registration begins April 24th at 10:00AM!Mini Golf & Ice Cream, $20Thursday 7/11/24 6:00-8:30pmWe are heading to Richardson's Ice Cream for an evening of mini golf with friends! After mini-golf, a small ice cream will be provided. A Day at the Aquarium, $35Sunday 7/28/24 10:00am-3:00pmLet's head into Boston to visit the New England Aquarium! Please bring your own money for lunch in the Harbor View Cafe. Also note that this trip will require a significant amount of standing and walking throughout the day. Drums Alive & Pizza, $25Monday 8/19/24 5:15-8:45pmTim Kane of Drums Alive will be hosting a drum off for us for a night in at the Recreation Department. We will learn about different styles of percussion and create some music together, as well as enjoy some pizza afterwards!Tie Dye Party, $25Sunday 8/25/24 2:00-4:00pmJoin us at the Recreation Department for an afternoon of tie-dye fun! A white t-shirt and tie-dye supplies will be provided. During registration, please note what size t-shirt you will need.*Please note, additional offerings may be added pending interest and availability. If you are interested in a trip but it is full, please register for the wait list. The wait list is how we know if there is enough interest to add additional trips!
