Begin an athletic journey with Sports & Games Tots! This program offers a variety of sports through fun, age-appropriate activities, enhancing balance, coordination, and fitness. This engaging introduction to multiple sports is packed with learning and teamwork! Each week will focus on one sport with basketball, soccer, and tball all being featured during the course of the program. Skyhawks will provide all equipment.  Parent participation is required for the 2 yr old class and the first 2 weeks of the 3 yr old class after which most participants will be ready to participate on their own.  Please bring water.

Come join the Sports Zone 101 coaches as we teach the basic skills and movements needed to play baseball. This is a great program to help prepare your child for their upcoming T-Ball season! We will instruct all kids on how to hold the bat correctly, hit the ball off a tee, field a ball, throw a ball, and learn how to become an awesome team mate! We will spend time getting to know each other, learn more about the way our bodies move, and explore new ways to stay active and have fun doing it! We will help develop your child’s sensory and gross motor skills in our exciting Little Big Leaguer program!

Leisure Adventure Club includes social activities and community outings for older teens and adults. This program is designed specifically to accommodate those with cognitive and developmental impairments. Programs are led by qualified Billerica Recreation staff members. Staff to participant ratio will not exceed 1:6.An intake assessment and conversation with our TR Coordinator is required prior to initial participation.Spring 2025 Outings: Registration will start 3/5 at 10 amFloral Shadow Boxes at the Rec, $30Saturday 4/5/25 2:00-3:30pmMeet us at the Rec. to be led through a craft. We will be creating shadow boxes containing a beautiful wooden flower arrangement you get to design!Explore the Acton Arboretum, $20Sunday 4/13/25 12:45-3:25We are heading to the beautiful Acton Arboretum to explore the grounds, take in the beautiful nature, and have a light snack. Please wear comfortable walking shoes as this trip will require extended periods of walking on potentially uneven ground.Ice Cream Smorgasboard at Putnam Pantry, $20Saturday 4/26/25 2:15-3:15pmI scream, you scream, LAC screams for ice cream! Putnam Pantry is hosting us for an ice cream sundae smorgasbord!Spring Welcome Mats at Create & Escape, $50Sunday 5/4/25 12:15-3:15pmCreate your own welcome mat to welcome spring! Create & Escape will be hosting us and guiding us through how to decorate our own welcome mats. Spring Cookout at the Rec, $20Sunday 5/25/25 12:30-2:30Spring has sprung! Meet us at the Recreation Department for a cookout and outdoor games with friends. A cookout lunch will be provided.Summer 2025 Outings: Registration will start 3/26 at 10 amMuseum of Science, $30Sunday 6/22/25 12:00pm-4:30pm We’re taking a trip into Boston to the Museum of Science to experience the interactive nature and science exhibits. This trip will require lots of walking, so please wear comfortable footwear.Kimball Farms, $30Wednesday 7/9/25 5:00pm-8:30pm Let’s head to Kimball Farms in Westford! Two activities and an ice cream will be provided. You may bring your own money for any further purchases.S'mores and Movie Night, $20Wednesday 7/23/25 5:00pm-7:00pmJoin us at the Recreation Department for a night in watching movies and making s’mores. Movie will be announced closer to the event.Cape Ann Whale Watch, $45Saturday 8/2/25 12:15 PM-TBDWe’re heading to Gloucester to get out on the open seas. We expect some whale sightings! Make sure to wear sunscreen and bring snacks as we will be out on the boat for about three hours.Cookout on Micozzi Beach, $20Thursday 8/21/25 4:30pm-6:30pm Meet us at Micozzi Beach for an evening cookout with friends! We will play beach games and enjoy the scenery while having a nice meal together.*Please note, additional offerings may be added pending interest and availability. If you are interested in a trip but it is full, please register for the wait list. The wait list is how we know if there is enough interest to add additional trips!
