Hike “Up North” with Marlies Henderson. More physically intense than her Billerica winter walks, but if there is a demand, the Recreation Department can meet it: We will drive you to and from the destination, and you hike 4 to 6 miles in the White Mountains and surrounding areas. Focus on camaraderie and reaching summits. 50% rain, 50 mph wind and thunder and lightning cancel. Included: Reminder, gear advise, transportation, gas, planning & coordination, guide.Not included: Food and beverage.

Begin an athletic journey with Sports & Games Tots! This program offers a variety of sports through fun, age-appropriate activities, enhancing balance, coordination, and fitness. Each week will focus on one sport with basketball, soccer, and tball all being featured during the course of the program. Skyhawks will provide all equipment.  Parent participation is required for the 2 yr old class and the first 2 weeks of the 3 yr old class after which most participants will be ready to participate on their own.  Please bring water.

This is a 6-week, parent participant encouraged, high energy, play-based developmental play group for ages 3-5 with ranging abilities.  This will incorporate building the "big muscles" through running, jumping, climbing, obstacle courses and more!  These activities help build balance, spatial awareness, bilateral coordination, sensory integration and social skills.  This bootcamp focuses on turn-taking, following multi-step directions and working with friends all while helping kids process the world around them in a fun, safe environment.  This program will help educate parents on simple activities they can do at home to help regulate high-energy kids.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM    FUNdamental Movement Adaptive Fitness - FUNdamental Movement Adaptive Fitness, Spring '26
Are regular exercise classes not a great fit or move too fast?  This adaptive class will include both verbal and visual cues for participants while they set their own pace.  With a focus on simple movements we do every day, this class will be a full body workout.  Cardio movements, balance, crossing midline, and stretching.  With a lot of FUN sprinkled in. Bring your water, a yoga mat and a great attitude.  If there are no spots left please register for the wait list - we may be able to let more people in if we get enough on the wait list.Instructor Bio:Dawn Atwood is a fitness enthusiast who has a 22 year old neurodiverse daughter.  She has volunteered at Special Olympics for their gymnastic, ski and biking programs.  She is excited to share her love of movement.

I've been teaching Zumba for over 6 years, and I absolutely love it. I come from a dance background and was part of a dance group when I was younger. When I started doing Zumba, I found it to be a perfect combination of all the things I loved about dance and fitness. Every class feels like a party, and I love sharing this party with all my students! Progressions for each move allow you to make each class your own with the level of intensity that best suits your needs - start slow and go all the way up as you get more familiar with the routines and moves.Come join me, I guarantee you will have a blast!
