Registration for this program begins on Wednesday, March 18th 2026 at 10am.
Based at the Hajjar Elementary School, Junior Stars is a weekly program that is designed for children entering grades 1-3. We have modified our traditional Superstars program into two separate programs- Junior Stars and Superstars.
At Junior Stars, you can expect a summer filled with outdoor play time, music, athletic activities, circle games, arts and crafts, and so much more! Participants will be in a setting with peers their age and can look forward to age appropriate special activities and field trips. We are very excited for this new program and look forward to another fabulous summer!
SPECIAL DAYS:
Field Trips: Transportation is provided. This program takes two off-site field trips per week. Please wear your Billerica Recreation t-shirt, which will be provided on the first day of your session. Field trips are subject to change.
Theme Days: Every Friday is a theme day! Dress up in a theme related costume!

Water Safety
Per Christian’s Law, we will require all participants to wear a coast guard approved life jacket to all field trips to bodies of water, that we will provide. For the safety of your child, there will not be a swim test option for this program.
Junior Stars will NOT be held on Friday, July 3rd 2026.
Payment Flexibility
To assist financially, families have the option to pay a 50% (or higher) deposit at the time of their registration. To do so, during the payment checkout process, please enter the amount you are able to put down that day. Payment must be made in full by June 5th in order to stay registered for this program. It is the families responsibility to log in to their account to make payments when they are able to do so, before the June 5th deadline.

Inclusion Support
If your child has diverse abilities, and you think your child would benefit from receiving support in this program from an inclusion specialist, please register forinclusion support, filling out all forms in as much detail as possible. Please note, this registration is not a separate program, but it is your way of asking our department for support services. We will do our best to support as many children as possible on a first come first serve basis.
