Intro to Mindfulness Meditation
Meditation can help with the stress of everyday life, especially during times of uncertainty. Mindfulness meditation helps increase our awareness of what we are experiencing each moment, so we can respond to events and people with greater calm, patience, and compassion. A regular meditation practice can improve our relationships in various parts of our lives. In this workshop, we’ll learn concepts and techniques, and practice meditation together in a safe and supportive environment for discussing our experiences. We will sit in chairs, so there is nothing to prepare or bring other than your own curiosity. Meditation is easy to learn, even for those of us with busy minds! We will be outside for this two-hour workshop, so wear warm clothing. There will be a short break mid-way through. All levels of meditation experience are welcome.
