Superstars Counselors and Participants on a trip to a sea shore park.
Superstars is a weekly program that is designed for children ages 6-14. All the children will be placed in small groups based on their ages.  While activities will be planned for each small group, all groups will also participate in scheduled large group activities and events.

Participation in Superstars will be an unforgettable experience for your child, full of fun and friendship, wonder and excitement. Quality staff will guide your child through a summer of discovery and fun.

Participants must be: free of emotional and physical outbursts directed toward themselves or others; free of medical conditions associated with risk for infection, complications, and/or injury or conditions that in the opinion of the nurse may represent a danger to self or others; able to safely and appropriately interact with peers and staff ;independent in self help skills.

We will work with the public schools to incorporate applicable educational goals and objectives.

What will a day look like?
When the children arrive they will be welcomed by their group counselors. This is followed by a meeting in the cafeteria where all groups meet to review rules, any special activities or information that needs to be shared with the group. After this, there will be at least 2 group activities followed by lunch and rest in the middle of the day. Three group activities are planned for the afternoon, with a snack break mixed in between. The day ends with circle time bringing closure to the day, highlights the activities planned for the next day and allows the children and staff to reflect on the day's events and activities.

Each day will include both active and quieter activities. There are opportunities to walk to Micozzi Beach for swimming. Both large and small group field trips are planned to places of interest and one of the DCR beaches (usually Nahant). On Friday a special event is scheduled for all of the groups.

Each group will have 8-12 youth of similar age with at least 2 counselors assigned to each group.
